Miss Silva is in her second year as part of the Valley team having graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a B.Ed. in Elementary Education in the spring of 2022. She says it's hard for her to pick her favorite lesson to teach but that she enjoys teaching math the most.

She is a native of Hawai'i and is making the adjustment to the weather in Iowa. She enjoys riding her horses (which are still in Hawai'i), hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Miss Silva attends New Life Church in Reinbeck and says "The best part about following Jesus is getting to experience His goodness. All my life He has been so faithful and good, both on the mountain tops and in the valleys. He won't ever let me down!"
