High School Athletics

Our smaller class sizes ensures more playing time for your student. And more playing time equals more exposure for those wanting to pursue sports in college!

Valley is a member of the Iowa Star Athletic Conference and offers the following varsity athletic teams:

• Basketball
• Volleyball
• Cross Country – 4 time district champs & scored 4th at State in 2021 – the first time competing
• Track & Field
• Dance
• Cheer

Middle School Athletics

Valley provides students in grades 3rd-8th the opportunity to also use their God-given talents and develop athletic skills by teaching budding athletes core fundamentals in sports they are interested in. Valley is a member of the Iowa District East Lutheran Conference competing against Lutheran Schools across our district and other small Christian Schools in and around our community. The following sports are offered to our middle school students:

• Basketball
• Track & Field
• Cross Country
• Volleyball
• Co-ed Soccer – 2019-2020 district champs
• Cheer

Other Athletic Opportunities

Valley Lutheran has a cooperative agreement with Cedar Falls Community School District for sports that Valley does not offer on its campus including Football, Swimming, Softball, Baseball, Wrestling and Soccer. This affords our students the opportunity to participate in these sports.
